Big Moose Mountain is a ski area in the Moosehead Lake region of Maine, United States, at about 45.504° N, 69.7073° W. It opened in December 1963 under the name Squaw Mountain, first with a T-bar, and added its first chairlift, a double, in 1967. A triple chair later replaced the original T-bar, and the area was closed for several years after 2010. It now operates as a non-profit run by a community group, and its trails have changed little since the 1960s. Big Moose Mountain is on the Indy Pass.
