Holiday Valley is a ski resort in Ellicottville, in western New York, United States. It has 60 runs served by 13 lifts, spread across the hills south of Buffalo, Rochester and Cleveland's usual drive-in markets. Organized skiing in the town dates to the 1930s, and the resort itself opened in the winter of 1957-58 with a T-bar and four slopes. Today it operates three base lodges and a mix of terrain on its slopes and trails, with a season that typically starts in early December.
